Prince Harry is set to return to the UK within days. He is due to attend a significant event for the Invictus Games, and Meghan Markle will not be attending.

The Duke of Sussex is scheduled to attend the Service of Thanksgiving at St Paul's Cathedral on Wednesday, May 8. The event takes place just two days after the fifth birthday celebration of son Archie.

The service is in honour of the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games, which Harry founded to aid the rehabilitation of injured and sick military personnel and veterans across the globe, by giving them the challenge of competing in sporting events similar to the Paralympics.

An official statement from the Invictus Games Foundation read: "The Invictus Games Foundation will celebrate 10 years of changing lives and saving lives with a 'Service of Thanksgiving' at St Paul's Cathedral on May 8th. We will be joined by our Patron, Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex, actor Damian Lewis and members of the worldwide Invictus Community to mark the occasion."

The news comes after Buckingham Palace issued a new statement updating the nation about King Charles' cancer treatment. A spokesman revealed he would be returning to public duties as it was said treatment was going well.

The King will still be continuing treatments, but will return to public duties although the palace stressed that all would be subject to ongoing medical advice. It is not known whether Prince Harry will be making a visit to his father, or Kate Middleton who is also receiving treatment for cancer, on his visit to the UK.
