Print wirelessly from your Kindle Fire HD and HDX directly to Epson printers

Epson has announced support on its Connect printers for all Amazon Kindle Fire HD and Kindle Fire HDX tablets, allowing them to wirelessly print.

Some of this is thanks to Android 4.4 KitKat which now has native printing support built-in. So while the Epson Connect-enabled printers are made to work with the Kindle Fire HD and HDX these should also work with other wireless printers. For example the Google Nexus 5 will now automatically detect an HP printer and download the software to work with it, allowing you to print straight out of Google Docs.

Ian Cameron, general manager of sales and marketing support at Epson, said: "Collaboration and innovation are an important part of Epson's strategy to drive home and business productivity via powerful mobile printing solutions across a range of devices and platforms.”

The Kindle Fire and Kindle Fire HDX will require the free Fire OS 3.1 software update to work.
