Rangers transfer news bulletin as Yusuf Kabadayi jeopardy emerges while vital Damian Garcia decision made

Turkish giants Fenerbahce's interest in Rangers in target Yusuf Kabadayi is concrete - according to a report.

Light Blues boss Philippe Clement and Director of Football Nils Koppen have identified the Bayern Munich winger as another target of his summer rebuild, with the Belgian keen to freshen up his squad with younger talent. German U20 international Kabadayi has risen through the ranks in Bavaria, and spent last season on loan in the second tier with Schalke.

But according to Turkish outlet Turkiyeyedair, Fenerbahce - who are now coached by Jose Mourinho - have made an enquiry to Bayern about the youngster's services with club president Ali Koc set to play an active role in negotiations. The report adds that the former Chelsea, Inter Milan and Real Madrid boss is also looking to bolster his squad with younger players, after the Istanbul club missed out on the Turkish title to bitter rivals Galatasaray last season despite finishing the campaign with an astonishing 99 points.

Elsewhere, reported Rangers target Damian Garcia looks set to stay at Penarol, with the Uruguayan youngster poised to sign a new deal with the club. Penarol's director Gonzalo Moratori revealed that the Uruguay youth international - who is out of contract in December - will pen a two-year deal with a release clause that will allow him to move on in the future if the transfer fee is met.

Speaking to El Observador, he said: “(Garcia) understood (that Peñarol were not prepared to let him leave) and it was not his intention to leave now. This week he will sign, he will have a substantial improvement (salary), in exchange, Peñarol will stay two and a half more years with his contract with exit clauses in each period of passes, except in this one.”

One man who could leave Rangers this summer is left back Ridvan Yilmaz - with the Turkey international wanted by his old Gers boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst at Besiktas. The ex-Barcelona, Netherlands and Arsenal star has been tasked with rebuilding a Besiktas side that finished sixth last season, narrowly scraping a Conference League place.

However, Yilmaz's agent has recently gone on record ruling out the prospect of a return to his homeland. Last week, he said: "Rıdvan’s career plan is to continue in Europe. There are no plans to return to the Super Lig in the near to medium term."
