Red Arrows fly over Cumbria and through the Lake District

THE Red Arrows were photographed flying over Sizergh on their journey through the Lake District.

The RAF's most famous squadron flew over Cumbria on Friday, June 21 on their way from RAF Waddington to Prestwick for a show.

Camera club member Steve Paton took photos of the Red Arrows passing over Sizergh Castle at around 3.21pm.

The schedule, published by the crew before they set off on their journey, stated that they would reach Windermere at around 3.23pm.

For those who missed them the first time, they will be flying back to Waddington via Carlisle during the afternoon of Sunday, June 23, although their return leg will be over the Pennines and the Yorkshire Dales side of the M6 rather than the Lakes.
