Reports of racist language heard on train from Peterborough station

Racist language has been reported on a train journey from Peterborough Train Station.

British Transport Police have launched an investigation after they received a text to 61016 on May 15, with reports of a man drinking on board a train and using racist language.

The train had been travelling from Peterborough Station and was met at Lincoln Station, and a man has been identified in connection.

Enquiries into the incident are ongoing, and witnesses are being asked to contact the British Transport Police by texting 61016 or calling 0800 405040 quoting reference 2400061393.
