Residents Survey Damage Following Confirmed EF-2 Tornado in Central Arkansas

An EF-2 tornado tore through parts of central Arkansas early on Wednesday, May 8, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake, according to a local newspaper.

Reports, citing National Weather Service Meteorologist Dylan Cooper, said the tornado brought winds estimated to be up to 135 mph, strong enough to tear “roofing material” off houses and completely blow away “weaker structures like barns and sheds.”
