Yahoo News Rise and Fall announces winner after shock finale twists

After weeks of power struggles, that have seen Grafters rising to the Penthouse and Rulers being eliminated after failing to prove their ruling skills, Rise and Fall finally crowned its winner tonight (April 13).
The reality show, presented by Greg James, saw contestants either confined to the basement as Grafters, living on soup and completing 'work shifts' to build up the prize fund, or living a life of luxury as Rulers in the Penthouse, taking charge of the Grafters and controlling various aspects of their day-to-day lives.
Going into the final, the Rulers were Eddy, Matt, Moses, Ramona, Rossi and Sydney, after Isaak was sent back down to the Basement in yesterday's episode.
Tonight's episode finally saw Eddy crowned as the winner, after a series of twists in the finale (and weeks of him baking bread for everyone in the Basement before rising to the Penthouse). The last work shift saw Grafters working as brick layers, being chosen to work for individual Rulers, with the least successful Ruler losing their place in the final. As Jack collected the fewest bricks (by a total of one brick!), Rossi was elimated.

Following the workshift, the drama culminated in a final Red Room confrontation. The Rulers went head to head to prove themselves the best leader and claim the £85,610 prize fund. The Rulers had to decide between themselves who was the weakest ruler. This saw Ramona eliminated, after three fellow Rulers voted for her to leave.
However, in a shock turn of events, this then gave Ramona the power to choose the next Ruler to leave – she chose Moses. Given the same power, Moses eliminated Matt, so the final two were Eddy and Sydney. The eliminated Rulers had to choose the winner from them, and ultimately they chose Eddy.
The final scenes saw Eddy celebrating with all Rulers and Grafters, past and present, with a well-earned glass of Champagne.
