'Road rage attack' as man assaulted after Highgate crash

Police are probing an alleged road rage attack after trouble on a city street. Police said a man was attacked following a collision between two cars.

Troubled flared on Macdonald Street in Highgate shortly after 1pm yesterday, Wednesday, April 24. West Midlands Police said it involved three men.

Officers found a victim, who had been assaulted, at the scene. It said those responsible had fled. Inquiries were ongoing and no arrests had been made.

A police spokesman told BirminghamLive: "We were called to Macdonald Street, Birmingham, shortly after 1pm yesterday to a disorder involving three men. Officers attended and found a man who had been assaulted following a collision involving two cars.

"The people responsible left the scene before officers arrived, so enquiries are ongoing to find them. Anyone who was in the area at the time can contact us via Live Chat or 101 quoting crime number 20/426563/24."
