Rosie O’Donnell Joins ‘And Just Like That’ for Season 3

Rosie O’Donnell is joining the cast for season three of Max’s And Just Like That.

On her Instagram on Wednesday, the comedian shared the front cover of the script for the upcoming season’s premiere episode of the Sex and the City spinoff. The photo reveals her character name is Mary, as well as the episode’s title, “Outlook Good,” which will be written and directed by executive producer Michael Patrick King.

“Here comes mary #andjustlikethat @hbo,” she captioned the post.

O’Donnell signed on to the series starring Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis, who all reprised their Sex and the City roles. And Just Like That follows the group as they navigate the complicated reality of life and friendship in their 50s, compared to their journeys in their 30s on the original show.

Earlier Wednesday, Parker also shared on her social media that table reads for season three were officially underway. She captioned the photos, which featured the front cover for episodes one and two scripts, “Here. We. Go. X, SJ.”

Nixon and Davis also took to their respective social media accounts to celebrate.

The Hollywood Reporter learned earlier this year that Karen Pittman, who played Nya Wallace, would not be returning for season three due to commitments to other shows. It was also announced in February that Sara Ramírez, the star behind the controversial character Che Diaz, would not be coming back for the new season.

Season three of And Just Like That is set to premiere in 2025.
