Samantha Bond has responded to worried fans who shared their concern after seeing her shaking during an interview on Loose Women.

The former James Bond star, who played Miss Moneypenny in films between 1995 and 2002, appeared on the ITV daytime show on Monday to talk about her new role in Channel 5 drama The Inheritance.

But when viewers saw her shaking throughout the interview, they became worried about what could be wrong with the actor.

One fan tweeted: "Watching Samantha bond on loose women. Why is she shaking so much? I hope it’s just nerves and that she’s not unwell."

Someone else added: "Hope Samantha is ok. She was shaking through that entire interview x"

However, Bond, 61, put people's minds at rest by offering her own explanation of what the problem had been.

She responded to a comment that read: "Seemed a nervous wreck shaking and her voice was trembling poor lady."

Bond replied: "Frozen shoulder. Nothing worse. X"

The Inheritance, a drama about warring siblings battling over their late father's will, sees Bond star opposite James Collier, Kevin Whately, Gaynor Faye, Jemima Rooper, Larry Lamb and Pauline McLynn.

Bond, who also starred in Downton Abbey as Lady Rosamund Painswick, told the Loose Women panel how difficulties involving one director on The Inheritance meant that the cast were often still filming late into the evening.

She added: "It wouldn't happen on Downton."

The star is also known for her TV roles in sitcom Outnumbered and World War Two drama Home Fires.

Monday's Loose Women was hosted by Ruth Langsford, who had to take a week off from the show recently after struggling with a chest infection.

Meanwhile, her husband Eamonn Holmes told GB News viewers last week that he is still struggling with a bad back as he recovers from surgery last year.

As he interviewed an Australian runner who has been touring the world, Holmes said: "I can't run, I can't walk, I can't do anything except watch TV and eat."

He then added: "I just got problems last year in my back, which I haven't recovered from. It's not good, it's not a good recipe I have to say."
