Scotland fan stuns Sky News reporter as he drops F-bomb during live TV interview from Dunfermline pub

A young Scotland fan stunned a Sky News reporter after he wore during a live TV interview before Scotland's Euro 2024 opener against Germany in Munich.

Football fans are gearing up for the European Championship in Germany in Dunfermline a wee fan's exuberance led to an F-bomb on live telly. A Sky News journalist found himself amid high jinks at a Dunfermline pub, broadcasting Scottish supporters' anticipation for the 8pm kick-off against Germany. "The atmosphere here is electric" he relayed to the studio.

Negotiating his way amongst the Tartan Army in the pub, he engaged with eight year old Dylan, quickly learning the risks of live TV chat. When asked, "How are you feeling? ", Dylan chirped: "good." Probing further, the reporter asked, "Who do you think the score is going to be?" Dylan confidently retorted: "3-0."

Then the focus shifted to another supporter. This other pundit posited a 1-0 win for Scotland, prompting an inquiry about what playing in the tournament means for Scots from the journo.

However, as a response was being formulated, young Dylan butted in, shocking the reporter who questioned, "what were you going to say? " All eyes on him, the lad blurted out: "F*** Germany! ".

The gaffe sent the punter into laughter, but the reporter made a swift exit to another table, clumsily apologising: "oh dear, apologies for that language."

Sky News has come under fire from viewers after a segment on the upcoming Germany vs Scotland match at Euro 2024. One disgruntled viewer took to Twitter, writing: "Sky News should know better on match day."

Another expressed their disappointment, saying: "Live cross on Sky News ahead of Germany vs Scotland at #euro2024 confirming everything I think about football fans. An amused TV viewer quipped: " A third viewer found humour in the situation, joking: "Classic....don't do live tv with animals, kids or Fifers", while another added: "The dangers of live reporting on Sky News!"

Football fans are eagerly awaiting the start of Euro 2024, which marks the return of the tournament to its regular four-year cycle following delays due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The previous tournament was postponed from 2020 to 2021.

Italy will be defending their title this year, having triumphed over England in the Euro 2020 final. However, the football schedule has caused disruption for soap fans, as ITV's Emmerdale and Coronation Street have been moved from their usual 7.30pm and 8pm slots to accommodate the Euro 2024 launch.
