A coach ploughed into the front of a house on a Scottish street as emergency services swarmed the scene.

The bus collided with the row of buildings on Main Street in Airth, near Falkirk, at around 5.40pm on Monday, June 24. A picture from the scene shows the extent of the damage caused by the collision.

Police have since opened an investigation after a huge hole was left in the building where the large vehicle struck the front of the property, reports the Record.

The single decker coach could be seen perched in the front garden of the building, with part of the vehicle inside the house and the windscreen clearly smashed with a pile of bricks and rubble surrounding it.

Police say they were called to a report of a road crash at around 5.40pm and were at the scene "assisting." It is currently unknown if any injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

A man can be seen at the door of the bus, talking to whoever is still inside, while a woman is on the phone outside the neighbouring house, and a crowd of people are gathered in front of the property in question.

The vehicle has "BRYANS Executive" on the side and appears to belong to Bryans Coaches, a bus firm based in Denny, Stirlingshire.
