Shots Fired on Michigan State University Campus, Police Say

Police urged people to shelter-in-place after shots were fired at Michigan State University’s (MSU) East Lansing campus on Monday, February 13.

The MSU Police and Public Safety department said in a Twitter post that the “suspect is believed to be on foot right now” and that there were multiple reported injuries at a second shooting at IM East, a fitness center on campus.

Police later added that they believe there was only one suspect, and that IM East was being secured.

The suspect was described as “a short male with a mask, possibly Black”. Authorities did not immediately provide further information about the incident.
