The Spring bank holiday on Monday signifies a three-day weekend for millions across the nation.

However, this also means opening hours for shops and supermarkets could be slightly different. If you need to stock up your food and drink supplies, or even sort out your weekly big shop, it's crucial to be aware of when your local supermarket will close.

This year's Spring bank holiday will take place on Monday, May 27.

Here are the opening times for Aldi, ASDA, Tesco, Lidl, Morrisons, M&S, Sainsbury's, and Waitrose for this bank holiday weekend.

Aldi

The opening hours for Aldi on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday remain unchanged.

On Monday, May 27, the budget supermarket's opening hours will be from 8am to 8pm. However, the retailer advises that opening hours may vary depending on the store location.

Aldi Weybrook Road: 8am to 8pm
Aldi Garrett Way: 8am to 8pm
Aldi Wilmslow Road: 8am to 8pm

ASDA

ASDA stores throughout the UK will maintain regular opening hours on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. On Monday, May 27, most Asda stores will operate from 8am to 8pm - although some may open earlier and close later.

ASDA Hulme: 7am - 10pm
ASDA Eastlands: 7am - 10pm
ASDA Living Manchester: 10am - 6pm

Tesco

Tesco stores throughout the UK will keep their regular opening hours on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

On Monday, most of Tesco's larger outlets will be open from 8am to 6pm, with some potentially staying open until 8pm. The opening hours for Express stores may differ.

M&S

Stockport Retail Park: 8am to 8pm
Picadilly Rail Foodhall: 7am to 7pm
Didsbury Simple Food: 8.30am to 8pm

Lidl

On bank holiday Monday, Lidl stores in England and Wales will be open from 8am until 8pm. Scottish stores, however, will close as usual at 10pm.

Some store opening times may differ, and customers are advised to store finder on Lidl’s website, for details on their local branch. As a guide here are the bank holiday closing times for some locations across Greater Manchester:

Stanley Grove: 8am to 8pm
Ashton Old Road: 8am to 8pm
Piccadilly Garden: 8am to 8pm

Morrisons

The opening hours for Morrisons will remain unchanged on Saturday and Sunday. On bank holiday Monday, the majority of Morrisons stores in England and Wales will be open from 7am until 8pm, although this may vary from store to store.

Scottish stores, however, will operate under their usual opening hours of 7am until 10pm on Monday.

Waitrose

Sainsbury's

The operating hours for Sainsbury's will remain unchanged on Saturday and Sunday. However, on Monday, May 27, superstores in England and Wales will have shorter opening hours, with most stores open between 8am and 8pm. Superstores in Scotland will continue to operate under normal hours.

Sainsbury's Local convenience stores are expected to be open from 7am until either 10pm or 11pm this Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
