Steven Gerrard has been heavily touted with bringing James Tavernier and Connor Goldson to Al-Ettifaq this summer - and he is reportedly looking to repeat another Rangers transfer trick this summer.

Record Sport revealed that the Rangers skipper and Ibrox stalwart Goldson are on the Al-Ettifaq shopping list this summer as the Liverpool legend looks to overhaul his squad to push for the Saudi Pro League title next term. The club weren't shy in splashing the cash during Gerrard's first summer at the club with Gini Wijnaldum, Demarai Gray, Jack Hendry and Moussa Dembele to the club - as well as Jordan Henderson before he quickly returned to Europe with a switch to Ajax - all arriving in the Middle East.

12 months on, it looks set to be another busy summer with Al-Sharq Al-Awsat reporting that Gerrard has handed Ettifaq chiefs a "list" of targets and has an "agreement" that the club will pursue recruits in several key positions this summer. Former Ibrox forward Fashion Sakala - who was brought to Govan by Gerrard - is reportedly on his wish list.

After leaving Rangers last season, the Zambian took the Pro League by storm with Al Fayha netting to 18 goals and six assists last term. Gerrard is said to have "requested" a contract offer be made to the attacker.

The report appears to hint at a potential move for Tavernier and Goldson - with Gerrard "seeking an agreement with management to sign a centre-half and full-back." A goalkeeper is also on the agenda - alongside a midfielder and if "possibilities were available to conclude a third deal for a striker to spearhead the attack."
