Strictly's Alexandra Burke denies claims she's 'furious over pro partner Gorka Marquez's rumoured romance with Gemma Atkinson'

Strictly’s Alexandra Burke has denied claims that she is ‘furious’ with her pro partner, Gorka Marquez and fellow Strictly star Gemma Atkinson over their apparent secret romance.

The former X Factor winner brushed off reports that she is worried Gorka and Gemma’s rumoured relationship will ruin her chances of lifting the glitterball trophy at the end of the series, saying she has nothing but ‘love’ for her fellow competitor.

Appearing on Thursday’s instalment of Lorraine, the stage star revealed that her focus is on the competition and not the private lives of her fellow Strictly Come Dancing celebrities.

She weighed in: ‘Apparently I am [fuming and raging]! I don’t know where he has time to have anything going on.

‘You literally can’t believe those kind of things, it’s all fun and it’s a lot of love with every contestant on the show and every pro too.’

She added: ‘My concentration is making sure me and Gorka are fully in tune with each other. We’re having so much fun at the moment, we won’t let anything get in the way.’

According to previous reports, Alexandra was left ‘furious’ after Gemma and Gorka struck up a relationship after meeting on Strictly.

‘Gorka and Gemma are together. It’s the talk of the make-up room,’ an insider reportedly told The Sun.

‘Not surprisingly, Alexandra is furious about how it might impact her chances of winning. She’s very ambitious and is nervous about it all.’

A spokesperson for Gorka told MailOnline: ‘Gorka and Gemma hang out together and go to the gym together, but nothing beyond that at the moment!’
