Scots stars have joined celebrities from around the world to help raise funds for Palestinian aid.

Auction items by Brian Cox and his wife Nicole Ansari-Cox, Annie Lennox and Tilda Swinton are among the top lots in the Cinema for Gaza auction.

Bidders can greet and meet Succession star Cox while seeing him star in the current London West End production of American playwright Eugene O’Neill’s classic play Long Day’s Journey Into Night.

Other highlights on offer include a bedtime story read over Zoom by actress Tilda Swinton, handwritten lyrics from Annie Lennox of the hit song Sweet Dreams and a Doctor Who clapperboard signed by former Time Lord Peter Capaldi.

Karen Gillan and former Doctor Who companion and Marvel star Arthur Darvill will team up as a duo for a Zoom call for a conversation about the show, easter eggs, theories, “maybe even the weather”.

There is also the chance to receive a life coaching session from Brian Cox’s actress wife Nicole Ansari-Cox, a “perfect porridge” tutorial and recipe from Josh O’Connor, who played Prince Charles in The Crown.

Proceeds from the auction, which also includes a poem read by former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn over Zoom, will go to Medical Aid for Palestine.

Zone of Interest film posters signed by Oscar-winning Director Jonathan Glazer, a portrait taken by Oscar-nominated filmmaker and photographer Misan Harriman and a walk-on part in Gurinder Chadha’s next film are on offer.

Being serenaded by Olly Alexander over zoom and a meet with TV presenter Louis Theroux are among some of the most sought after auction items.

MAP works for the health and dignity of Palestinians living under occupation and as refugees. They provide immediate medical aid to those in great need, while also developing local capacity and skills to ensure the long-term development of the Palestinian healthcare system.

They are currently responding to the emergency in Gaza.

The auction is online until Friday 12th April at 00:00 BST. Check out the auction items here.
