The surprising Surrey postcodes which are cheapest to buy a home in latest data

Bagshot is the cheapest place in our county to buy a home., Houses sold for £393,157 each on average in the GU19 postcode area.. This is according to Land Registry Data, where the latest figures go up to 30th May, 2024.

The only place cheaper was Aldershot, which is just over the border from Surrey, but has a GU12 postcode. Homes in the GU12 postcode area sold for an average of £366,842 each in the 12 months to the end of May. That’s less than any postcode area in the Surrey area with at least 20 sales over the last year.

That’s followed by TW15 (Ashford ) with an average home sold for £436,562 and RH6 ( Horley ) with an average home sold for £439,230

Cobham has the highest average sale price of any postcode area in Surrey to have had at least 50 sales over the last 12 months. Houses sold for an average of £1,365,625 in the KT11 postcode area.

The GU25 area was the next most expensive place to buy a home in our county. The average home in Virginia Water sold for an average of £1,225,648 last year.

That’s followed by KT10 ( Esher ) with an average home sold for £1,136,047, KT24 (West Horsley) with an average home sold for £1,078,036 and GU5 (Albury) with an average home sold for £883,393
