Taylor Swift has been heaped with praise by her dedicated fans after releasing the re-recording of her third studio album Speak Now, which originally came out in 2010.

The musician's Speak Now (Taylor's Version) came out on Friday, 7 July, much to her Swiftie fanbase's delight, and she shared a moving message with them on social media once it was released, reflecting on the album's origins and her experience recreating it.

Swift wrote: "It’s here. It’s yours, it’s mine, it’s ours. It’s an album I wrote alone about the whims, fantasies, heartaches, dramas and tragedies I lived out as a young woman between 18 and 20.

"I remember making tracklist after tracklist, obsessing over the right way to tell the story. I had to be ruthless with my choices, and I left behind some songs I am still unfailingly proud of now. Therefore, you have 6 From The Vault tracks!

"I recorded this album when I was 32 (and still growing up, now) and the memories it brought back filled me with nostalgia and appreciation.

"For life, for you, for the fact that I get to reclaim my work. Thank you a million times, for the memories that break our fall."

Swift's re-recorded album featured 22 tracks in total, which includes the 16 songs that appeared on the original version of Speak Now and the previously unreleased tracks: Electric Touch, When Emma Falls in Love, I Can See You, Castles Crumbling, Foolish One and Timeless.

Her fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the release, with many saying it was "beautiful" and praising the musician for her talent.

One person wrote "taylor swift helping me to heal my inner child with speak now tv" while another fan said it was "even more beautiful this time around".

Delighted by the album, one Swiftie shared "Speak Now was such a special Taylor Swift album and it still doesn’t feel real that we get to have this moment experiencing it again 13 years later. Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) is exactly what my soul needed."

And one said: "I knew Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) was going to be absolute incredible perfection but it has managed to exceed even that somehow??? We are SO lucky to be living in this world at the same time as Taylor Swift HOW IS SHE REAL AND DOING THIS"

Commenting on the singer's new approach to her old songs, another person said: "I don’t know if it’s just me but the vocals on Fearless (Taylor’s Version) felt SO similar to the original. I feel like she opened herself up much more with Speak Now and I’m SO here for it. She is so incredibly talented."

One fan heaped praise on Taylor by writing: "Some people will never experience the sheer genius artistry of Taylor Swift and I feel sorry and sad for them.. You’re not too late to start now!! She’s the music industry."

And another Swiftie said with enthusiasm: "HER VOICE?! THE PRODUCTION?! THE VAULT TRACKS?! ... I am much too tired to process it all tonight... but wow... just WOW. Speak Now has always been special to me, and Taylor's Version has made my love for this magical masterpiece grow EXPONENTIALLY!!!"

Swift has been busy remaking her old albums because the masters were previously owned by Scooter Braun, who sold them in 2020 for $300 million.

Since then, Swift has embarked on re-recording her first six albums and so far she has released new versions of Fearless and Red in 2021. The singer is now halfway through her re-recording project.
