This is the Tenerife holiday home where Jay Slater took his final photo before he vanished without a trace.

The rental, called Casa Abuela Tina, is attached to the back of a bar and restaurant on the outskirts of the village of Masca on the Spanish island. It is listed online as a holiday home and is understood to have been rented by two British men Jay was with the night before his disappearance, the Mirror reports.

It is understood they checked out yesterday before flying back to Britain. Jay posted a photo of himself holding a cigarette on its steps shortly before he went missing.

A woman working in the adjoining business said: “The two British men have left. I think it was yesterday but I’m not sure.” The 19-year-old's whereabouts remain unknown after he vanished on the island on Monday.

Friend Lucy Mae Law raised the alarm after receiving a call from Jay, an apprentice bricklayer from Oswaldtwistle, Lancashire, at around 8am on Monday to say he was walking back to their accommodation in the south of the island, and that he was thirsty and only had 1pc battery.

Jay's phone died shortly after and his last known location was traced to the Rural de Teno area, a mountainous part of the island. His parents and brother have since flown out to help with the search.

Friend Lucy said she was unhappy with the Civil Guard's search, saying "we need British police". She told the Mirror: “We need British police here. I just want to find my mate. He’s been missing three days. It’s not looking good now. We feel as though it’s down to us to find him and that we’re doing more than the police."
