Travis Scott was arrested on Thursday, June 20, according to public records.

The 33-year-old rapper (né Jacques Bermon Webster II) was booked in Miami-Dade County, Florida, at 4:35 a.m. local time on charges of disorderly intoxication and trespassing on a property after a warning.

Both came with a bond that totaled $650, $150 for the intoxication charges and $500 for the other. Records show the bond had been submitted as of Thursday.

"Mr. Scott was briefly detained due to a misunderstanding," his attorney Bradford Cohen said in a statement. "There was absolutely no physical altercation involved, and we thank the authorities for working with us towards a swift and amicable resolution."

Representatives for the Miami Beach Police Department tell PEOPLE that Scott was arrested at approximately 1:44 a.m. following an incident at the Miami Beach Marina, located at 300 Alton Road.

Authorities had been called to the incident on complaints of fighting on a yacht, officers wrote in an arrest affidavit obtained by PEOPLE. Upon arrival, they allegedly found Scott "yelling at the vessel occupants."

"Officers made contact with [Scott] to conduct an investigation," the affidavit reads. "The defendant was asked by officers to sit down, at which point [he] temporarily sat down and then began continuously standing back up, disregarding officers' commands. Throughout the interaction, officers on scene could sense a strong smell of alcohol coming from the defendants' breath."

Though the complainant did not want to press charges, they did request Scott leave the vessel. Scott was then told to leave the dock "or he would be arrested," police said.

"Throughout the long walk from the vessel to the boardwalk," authorities alleged, "[Scott] walked backwards, yelling obscenities to the occupants of the vessel."

Scott then left the premises, but returned "approximately five minutes later" and walked back to the yacht, "disregarding officers' commands not to go." Per police, "[Scott] began yelling once again, becoming erratic, disturbing the peace of the occupants of the marina and nearby residential buildings, causing a public disturbance."

He was then arrested and transported to the Miami Beach Police Department.

The rapper "later admitted that he had been drinking alcohol and stated, 'It's Miami,' " police claimed.

Sources familiar with the matter tell PEOPLE, "There was no physical altercation with anyone."

"This was a rowdy party and Travis was already bailed out for a few hundred dollars. He is already home," they added. "There will be no further action to be taken as it was a minor incident akin to receiving a ticket with no injuries."

Scott has had previous run-ins with the law, namely over incidents that have occurred at his concerts. In August 2015, he was arrested by Chicago police after a Lollapalooza performance — where the "Sicko Mode" rapper encouraged attendees to climb over security barricades and storm the stage — spun out of control. Per Chicago’s ABC 7, he was charged with disorderly conduct.

The Rodeo artist was arrested again in 2017 following a concert in Arkansas on charges of inciting a riot, endangering the welfare of a minor and disorderly conduct, the Associated Press reported.

Scott pled guilty to the latter charge, while his two other misdemeanor charges were dismissed through plea negotiations, his former attorney, Doug Norwood, told the Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.

In November 2021, Scott's Astroworld Festival turned into a deadly tragedy due to a crowd crush at NRG Park in Houston, Texas. The event resulted in 10 casualties, thousands who were injured and hundreds of lawsuits filed against Scott. However, a Texas grand jury decided in June 2023 not to pursue criminal charges against the rapper.

Scott opened up about the tragedy last year in an interview with GQ, saying, "I always think about it. Those fans were like my family."

He added, "You just feel for those people. And their families."

In late May, the "Outside" rapper was involved in a physical altercation with music executive Alexander "AE" Edwards, boyfriend of Cher, during a party at the Cannes Film Festival. According to Entertainment Tonight, the fight occurred while Scott and Edward's friend and fellow rapper Tyga were both on stage behind the DJ booth. It's still unclear who or what provoked the incident.
