Trolls question Kim Kardashian’s ‘raggedy’ Met Gala sweater cover-up

Kim Kardashian poses at the Met Gala, an annual fundraising gala held for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute with this year's theme 'Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion' in New York City, New York, U.S., May 6, 2024
Kim Kardashian, 43, in Margiela on the red carpet of the 2024 Met Gala for the Costume Institute's spring 2024 exhibition, "Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion," Monday, May 6.

She waisted no time shining but what’s under that sweater?

Always above the curve, Kim Kardashian cut her curvy frame in a skin-tight, corseted Margiela number by John Galliano for the 2024 Met Gala red carpet.

Commanding all eyes at the exclusive extravaganza, the Skims siren, 43, sent pupils popping with a waist-cinching, floor-length silver gown which she struggled to walk in during the pageantry.

She covered her ample bust with a matching grey shrug. The tugging and pulling of the top caused fans to wonder if the Hollywood hotshot regretted rocking the regalia.

“Oh Kim Kardashian, why [are] u holding that top please it ruined the whole dress?” asked a cyber critic on X.

“Kim Kardashian [wearing] a dress she can’t move in,” teased another.

“Now why is Kim Kardashian wearing that raggedy pilled sweater with that nice dress?” an equally perplexed onlooker spat.

But the K-queen didn’t seem at all ashamed of her slay.

“It’s all metal,” bragged the beauty while chatting with A-list BFF and red carpet host, La La Anthony. “It’s metal lace. It’s beautiful.”

Kardashian did her best to sashay up the Met’s staircase to toast the Costume Institute’s spring 2024 exhibition, titled “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion.” She and her equally chic cohorts were tasked with adhering to the gala’s nature-esque theme, “The Garden of Time.”

She revealed to Anthony that despite her many times on the Met Gala scene, she still gets “nervous” making her annual appearance.

So, perhaps fear is to blame for her questionable red-carpet behavior.

Days ahead of the fab function, Kardashian shared a throwback photo of herself with platinum-dyed tresses on Instagram.

Her buttery ‘do hearkened back to the Marilyn Monroe-inspired pizzazz she added to the 2022 Met Gala promenade. For that look, Kardashian dropped 16 pounds in three weeks in order to squeeze into Monroe’s legendary “Happy Birthday, Mr. President” gown from 1962.

Upon peeping Kim K’s newly resurfaced pic last week, social media sleuths assumed the reality vixen would be reprising the blond locks at this year’s gala.

However, cyber snoops were left confused when Kardashian later posted snapshots of her mane in its natural brown state, as well as in pink and in a silvery ombré.

She wore the icier color while nearly getting booed off stage at Netflix’s “The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady” Sunday.

Fans can never be too sure what they’re going to get when the shapely small-screen queen hits the Met Gala scene.

The mogul mama caught flak for letting eldest daughter, North West, now 10, hang out around the adults-only affair in 2023.

While her Gen Alpha tot watched the show from a car window, Kardashian wowed in a pearl-embellished number by Schiaparelli alongside supermodel sister Kendall Jenner, 28, who rocked a blingy bodysuit by Marc Jacobs, and baby sis Kylie Jenner, 26, in a cherry-red Jean Paul Gaultier dress.
