Trumpet ensemble set to dazzle with a mix of music at St Margaret's Church

A church in Topsham will be hosting a trumpet music concert on June 8.

The performance at St Margaret's Church will involve eight trumpets, timpani, organ, and a soprano soloist.

Performers, mainly from Devon and Cornwall, and a few from outside the area, will play compositions by Britten, Wagner, Biber and local composer Andrew Wilson.

Expect a mix of single, triple, quartet or octuple trumpet arrangements paired with organ and timps.

The soprano solo offers a melodious break from the trumpet, although one piece includes a trumpet accompaniment.

The concert will start at 7pm.

Tickets are priced at £11 for adults, with concessions at £8.
