Tumbleweeds Make Unwanted Return to Utah Neighborhood

A resident in Eagle Mountain, Utah, expressed frustration as tumbleweeds returned to her area, after a winter storm hit northern Utah on Sunday, May 5.

Hettie Hobson recorded this footage showing piles of tumbleweeds in her backyard.

It comes two months after Hobson faced what she described as “insane amounts of tumbleweeds” in her neighborhood in March.

“Tumbleweed storm strikes again!” Hobson told Storyful.

“These tumbleweeds are an invasive species, and baby tumbleweeds are now popping up everywhere. Even through the turf!” Hobson said. Credit: Hettie Hobson via Storyful
