In tribute to his legacy - which includes a hugely influential back catalogue of music and movies - The Powamekka Café pop-up restaurant will open its doors at 7pm on Tuesday (13.09.16) in Fresno, California.

Tupac dreamed of having his own music-themed diner before he died and even sketched the The Powamekka Café’s logo.

The restaurant behind the venture, Take 3 Burgers, has curated a menu of Tupac inspired dishes such as Thug Passion cake - champagne cake with Alize-flavored frosting - Mac-and-Cheeseburgers and California Love chicken sandwich, according to Billboard.

Sounds finger-licking good.

Tupac released his first studio album, 2Pacalypse Now, in November 1991 and starred in movies Poetic Justice and Above the Rim, but he was also hit with controversy when he spent eight months in jail after he was accused of rape.

It’s believed the star was the victim of the volatile East Coast/Wast Coast rap war that also claimed the life of his rival and New York rapper Notorious B.I.G.

Tupac’s killing remains unsolved, a fact which has added to his fame, and the story of his life and death is set to told in the new biopic, All Eyez On Me, which is due for release in November.
