'UK's leading foot reader' wants to teach Cestrians to glean secrets from feet

The 'UK's leading foot reader' is returning to Chester next month — and hopes to teach Cestrians the hidden insights to be gleaned from feet and toes. Jane Sheehan, who has appeared on Loose Women, This Morning, Australia Channel 9 and Fox & Friends in the U.S., is visiting Chester as part of a foot-reading world tour.

Jane will be hosting workshops at Sunshine Holistic Therapies in Hoole on August 10 and 11, between sessions in France, Portugal and a four-date tour of Canada. Tickets for the weekend cost £168.

According to Jane, foot reading analyses the personality traits and emotions by studying foot and toe shapes and blemishes, and is used as a tool for "self-development". Jane — whose 2005 book Let’s Read Our Feet has been printed in four languages — will be teaching techniques used to ‘read’ personality traits and emotions in the feet.

Jane said: "We are all used to changing our facial expressions and hiding our true feelings, but we can’t do that with our feet – they tell the truth.

Jane has been making her living this way for over 20 years. She says feet can reveal strengths and weaknesses in a person, as well as hidden talents and potential.

In an interview with the Liverpool Echo last year, Jane described herself as "one of the top five [foot readers] in the world, I just don't know what out of five." Her most recent book, Sole Trader: The Hoslitic Therapy Business Handbook, covers her experience of setting up her business, which has taken her across the globe.

She has held workshops across Europe, the USA, United Arab Emirates, Ireland and Australia. Tickets for the Chester worskshop are available from Jane's website, footreading.com.

Jane said: "Simply by analysing the shapes of feet and toes, we can tell an awful lot about a person. Anyone coming to my workshops will not only learn something of use to their clients, but also learn about themselves via their feet.

"They love hearing the anecdotes I use to illustrate the points and they love applying the knowledge to their own life story and often during the classes there are moments where you can see the students moved to delight when they realise that the blemish I’m interpreting also relates to a long term client of theirs and gives them an insight that will help progress their treatment.”
