It’s (almost) Mario time!

Next year, Super Mario fans will be able to see their favorite Nintendo franchise come to life at Universal Epic Universe theme park in Orlando — and Universal just released new details about the highly anticipated park!

On May 2, Universal Orlando released the official areas and attractions that will be found at Super Nintendo World — one of five immersive Universal Epic Universe worlds set to open in 2025 — and called it the park's “most colorful and interactive experience” to date.

As with its California counterpart, park goers can enter Super Nintendo World through the classic video game’s iconic green pipe, which is (fittingly!) decorated with one of Mario's many catchphrases: "HERE WE GO!"

There, they will be greeted by more fixtures from the arcade staple’s Mushroom Kingdom, from snapping Piranha Plants and furrow-browed Goombas to giant spinning coins and earth-shattering Thwomp Traps.

Mario Kart fans can also rejoice (and ready their engines!) as park guests can join Team Mario to take on Team Bowser in Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge, an attraction inspired by the spin-off racing game.

The racing attraction — which guests can enter through Bowser’s Castle — combines “augmented reality, projection mapping technology and elaborate environments,” per a press release from Universal.

Through the challenge, guests compete for the Golden Cup by using classic Mario Kart techniques — including lobbing shells at Bowser’s lackeys.

Making its U.S. debut at the theme park are attractions Yoshi’s Adventure and Donkey Kong Country.

At family-friendly Yoshi’s Adventure, guests can enjoy stunning views of Super Mario Land — including appearances from lots of fan-favorite characters — while riding atop the titular dinosaur in search of glowing eggs.

In Donkey Kong Country, located at the edge of Super Mario Land, park goers will find themselves immersed in the game’s tropical landscape, from waterfalls and to llandmarks like The Golden Temple.

Also located in this area is first-of-its-kind game Mine-Cart Madness, in which guests can help Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong protect the golden banana from one of the game’s iconic mine carts.

The area will also feature a tropical-inspired menu and unique merch offerings, all inspired by the Donkey Kong Country video game franchise.

Snacks will also be available for purchase at Yoshi’s Snack Island and Turbo Boost Treats, while merch can be purchased at the aptly named 1-UP Factory and Mario Motors.

Super Nintendo World is one of four Universal Epic Universe parks. Also opening in 2025 are parks dedicated to beloved franchises Harry Potter and How to Train Your Dragon, as well as one with a classic monsters theme.

The final park is the previously announced Celestial Park, an otherworldly escape featuring “astronomical and mythological” architecture surrounded by lush gardens and waters.

Epic Universe will be the fourth theme park to join the resort’s Universal Studios (the original park), as well as Islands of Adventure and Volcano Bay Water Park.
