UT-Dallas Student Last Seen at Campus Apartment Still Missing After Nearly a Week: 'Help Me Find My Son'

Andrew Li, 20, was last seen Saturday around 6 p.m. at his on-campus apartment, according to UT Dallas Police

• Police are looking for 20-year-old Andrew Li, a student at the University of Texas at Dallas who was last seen on Saturday

• Li's mother said she last heard from her son days earlier, and became concerned when she couldn't make contact with him on Saturday

• Police do not believe foul play is involved with Li's disappearance

Authorities are looking for a missing University of Texas at Dallas student who has been missing for nearly a week.

Andrew Li, 20, was last seen Saturday around 6 p.m. at his on-campus apartment, according to a bulletin shared Wednesday by the university’s police department.

Police said “there are no signs of foul play” in connection with his disappearance, and believe there is no threat to the UT-Dallas campus.

However, they are "deeply concerned about his whereabouts,” UT-Dallas Police Lieutenant Adam Perry said, according to CBS affiliate KTVT.

Ai Ping Zhou, Li’s mother, said she last spoke with her son on Feb. 22, according to ABC affiliate WFAA. The Houston woman tried contacting him on Saturday, but claimed the college sophomore did not respond or open her messages.

Friends did not find Li in his room when asked them to check on him, Zhou said.

His wallet was not found in his room after campus police gained entry, however, Li’s mother told KTVT that her son’s cell phone, backpack and laptop were still in his room.

“I can't sleep the whole night. I'm almost sick,” said Zhou, per WFAA. “Help me find my son.”

State and federal authorities have joined the search for Li, according to KTVT. Perry said police have received “a lot of support” from the agencies as they try to locate Li.

“This is pretty unusual. This is not something we are used to,” Perry told the station. “It’s something that we’re taking very seriously.”

Li is described by UT-Dallas Police as an Asian man who is 5-foot-11 and about 140 lbs., who typically wears brown wire-framed glasses and a ball cap.
