On April 29, the cookbook author shared an Instagram video of herself and her new boyfriend, Mike Goodnough. In the black-and-white clip, Bertinelli is in her new beau’s arms as she giggles and gives herself a giddy face palm. Taylor Swift’s new song “Alchemy” plays in the background.
Several of the Hot in Cleveland star’s fans shared their well wishes in the comments section, including one fan, who wrote, “You look like a 16 year old crushing for the first time!!!! 😍” Another said, “You two are so adorable!🥰.”
Bertinelli is doing long distance with Goodnough, who visited for the Food Network star’s 64th birthday. Goodnough lives on the East Coast and works as a writer, while Bertinelli calls California home.
In an Instagram post, Goodnough — who goes by Hoarse Whisperer online — said the close of their celebratory trip was tough.
“Some days seem to last forever. Others seem to go so quick,” he wrote on Instagram. “So long, SoCal. Under a week was too little. Thanks for the parting sunset. Wish it hadn’t gone so damn fast.”
In his post, Bertinelli could be seen looking out at the beautiful sunset.
Their last trip together was in New York for the launch of Bertinelli's new cookbook, Indulge.
On April 20, the pair went Instagram official. In a photo Bertinelli shared, they posed closely together while wearing glasses and smiling at the camera before them.
"🎶 I’ll drink what you think and I’m high from smokin’ your jokes all damn night 🎶," Bertinelli wrote in her caption, using lyrics from another one of Swift's new songs "So High School" off of her recently released album, The Tortured Poets Department.

Valerie BertinelliThough Bertinelli announced her relationship in March, she kept Goodnough's identity private.
“I’m in love,” she told PEOPLE in a recent cover story. “It’s a seesaw of emotions because I was adamant I was never falling in love again."
She didn’t see the new relationship coming at all. “My belly is flip-flopping. This was not supposed to happen,” she added.
Not long after, Goodnough posted online that he was the cookbook author's new man.
