Valorant has launched its latest new map for all players today (April 27).

Named Breeze, the sixth map in the hero shooter takes place on a remote island "located somewhere within the southern part of the Bermuda Triangle".

Breeze offers a very different experience from the game's previous new map Icebox.

With large open spaces and plenty of opportunities for flanking and long-range engagements, the beach-themed map looks set to push players to use their favourite Agents in different ways.

"One of the main goals we had with Breeze was building larger and more open spaces with longer sightlines than the other maps in the pool," said Riot Games senior game designer Sal Garozzo.

"This provides an opportunity for different weapons and Agents to shine.

"Each map should provide different strengths and weaknesses for the Agents in the roster to explore while supporting different types of strategies and team compositions."

Lead artist Devon Fay added: "Breeze was heavily inspired by islands in the Caribbean.

"We loved the old forts and tropical beaches. After the cold, angular world of Icebox, we were really excited for the open, bright, colourful world of Breeze."

In addition to the new map, there is a new battle pass that includes gun skins, radianite points, gun buddies, cards, sprays, and titles. The premium pass costs 1,000 VP.

Finally, a new Forsaken skin line has been added to the game for the Vandal, Operator, Spectre, Classic, and the melee weapon (which turns into the Forsaken Ritual Blade). The bundle is priced at 7,100 VP.
