A Vauxhall Corsa driver has been seriously injured after a horror crash in Glasgow.

The incident took place on the A879 Balmore Road in North Glasgow shortly after 3pm on Wednesday, June 12, 2024.

Police say the smash involved a Vauxhall Corsa, Vauxhall Crossland, and a Tesla.

999 crews raced to the scene.

Following that, an 87-year-old woman - who was the driver of the Corsa - was taken to hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

Meanwhile, a 31-year-old woman - who was the driver of the Crossland - and a 26-year-old woman - the driver of the Tesla - were taken to hospital for treatment as well.

We reported how the road was closed between Allandertoll Roundabout and Balmuildy Road during the incident.

It reopened at around 7.35pm after an investigation was carried out at the scene.

Now, road cops are appealing for anyone with information on the serious crash to come forward.

Constable Kieran Grant said: “We are carrying out enquiries to establish the full circumstances which led to this crash and would urge anyone with information to get in touch.

“I would appeal to anyone who was in the area around the time and who may have dash cam footage which could assist to contact us.”

A spokesperson for Police Scotland added: "Anyone with information is asked to contact 101 quoting reference 2283 of June 12."
