A victim 'stabbed with needle' in North Yorkshire sparks erection of police and arrest of man.

North Yorkshire Police received reports that a person had been "stabbed with a needle" in Zetland Street, Northallerton, just before 2.30pm on Tuesday, July 2. Officers attended the scene of the incident and arrested a 57-year-old man in connection with it.

Officers put up police tape to cordon off the area while investigations took place. The force confirmed the victim, whose current condition is not known, was taken to hospital.

A police spokeswoman said: "We received a report that a person had been stabbed with a needle on Zetland Street in Northallerton. Officers attended and a 57-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident. The victim has been taken to hospital and a police cordon remains in place. We’re asking anyone who witnessed the incident that hasn’t spoken to us at the scene to come forward."
