Victoria Beckham: Spice Girl, fashion mogul and mother of four is now adding a new title to her rota of achievements – comedian.

The YouTube comedic series, In the Chair with Victoria Beckham, will reportedly show Beckham giving a satirical take on her life and the entertainment industry.

The 44-year-old revealed that filming had officially begun on Wednesday as she shared a short video with her celebrity hairstylist Ken Paves and make-up artist Wendy Rowe.

In her Instagram video she says: “We are here today shooting today my first YouTube video.”

According to The Sun, Beckham has hired a scriptwriter for the project, and hopes the videos will showcase her comedic timing and sarcastic sense of humour.

The series will allegedly poke fun at her ‘extremely discreet’ 1999 wedding to David Beckham and provide a comedic rundown of the upcoming Oscars nominations and the ceremony itself.

She will supposedly also jokingly ask why she hasn’t been nominated for an Academy Award herself this year.

“I suppose they can only consider people who’ve been in feature films in the past year. Otherwise, I’m sure I would be.

“Isn’t there some category, some kind of lifetime achievement? I’m a wife, mother businesswoman, designer, icon?” she reportedly says.

Beckham is not known for her comedy work, though there were comedy elements to her 1998 cult movie Spice World.

She also showed a bit of a knack for dry humour in her 2015 ’73 questions with Victoria Beckham’ for Vogue. In the video she is asked a mixture of serious and jokey questions. She clearly had fun with them, such as when she was asked what was her favourite spice and she answered: ‘Posh!’

One commenter reacted to the video by writing ‘She is funny, I did not expect that!’ while another noted, ‘When she says she is comedy gold she did not tell a lie!’

It is unknown when her new YouTube series will launch. Watch this space.
