Waitrose 'do not eat' warning as cupcakes pulled from shelves over health risk

Waitrose customers are being warned not to eat its cupcakes over health fears. The supermarket is recalling one of its products due to a packaging error.

The cupcakes contain walnuts which are not mentioned on the label. It means the product could be a risk to anyone with a nut allergy, the Food Standards Agency (FSA) said.

Packs of nine of Waitrose Chocolate Mini Cupcakes with a best before date of July 20, 2024, are affected. Customers are being warned not to eat the cakes and instead return them to stores.
