New weather map shows exactly when temperatures to soar as Coventry could hit 27C

A new weather map shows exactly when temperatures are set to soar across the country. A blast of heat is set to sweep across the UK towards the end of next week.

That is according to the latest map from WXCharts, which says the warmer weather will set in from Thursday, June 27 and could last until Tuesday, July 2, reports The Mirror. It could see Coventry hit highs of 27C.

The latest iPhone forecast for our area shows that Thursday, June 27 could see highs of 27C. Next week, in general, is forecast to be a lot warmer than this week.

But the latest local Met Office online forecast for Coventry and Warwickshire shows that it is going to be sunnier week, compared to the rain which lashed our region last week. There will still be the 'odd shower' , the forecast says.

The forecast for this week is as follows:

Today

Patchy cloud clearing through the morning but still with a risk of the odd heavy shower mainly in the far northeast. Sunny spells during the afternoon and feeling warm in any sheltered spots. Maximum temperature 20C.

Tonight

Showers lingering in a few spots during the evening, but becoming fewer and further between. Becoming dry by dawn, and cool under clear skies. Minimum temperature 9C.

Wednesday

Dry with sunny spells developing through the afternoon. Feeling warm in the sunshine and light winds. Maximum temperature 20C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday

Largely dry for Thursday, and feeling warm in the sunnier interludes and light winds. Winds strengthening on Friday with outbreaks of rain. Staying largely cloudy with patchy rain on Saturday
