Netflix has a busy month ahead in December 2023, with new shows and films being released on the platform over the course of the festive period.

From exciting new shows to hotly-anticipated final outings, and exciting movie releases there is plenty for subscribers to settle down and watch this month.

What new TV shows are on Netflix in December 2023?

The Crown season 6 part 2 | 14 December

The Crown, Peter Morgan's love letter to Queen Elizabeth II, is coming to an end with the second half of its sixth season, which comes closer to collective memory once more by charting the teenage years of Prince William and Harry following the death of their mother Princess Diana.

As well as exploring Prince William's relationship with Kate Middleton, the series will also depict Princess Margaret's death in 2002 and the wedding of Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles in 2005.

Yu Yu Hakusho | 14 December

One Piece may have been the first hit for Netflix adapting anime to live-action, but it won't be the last as the platform will be bringing Yu Yu Hakusho to life onscreen.

Based on Yoshihiro Togashi's iconic manga series, the Japanese drama will bring the world to life and chart teen Yusuke Urameshi's journey to becoming an Underworld Detective after being killed in a car accident.

Another surefire hit on Netflix from Japan is Pokemon Concierge, a stop-motion animated series that follows the goings on at a hotel within the Pokemon franchise.

Berlin | 29 December

Money Heist may have finished with a bang but the franchise is far from over, as Netflix has created a prequel focused on Pedro Alonso's Berlin prior to his demise in the flagship series.

The spin-off will chart a whole new high stakes heist headed up by Berlin, which sees him and his new crew steal €44 million worth of jewels and make it look like an illusion.

Heavily tipped to be making its way to the Oscars, Maestro is Bradley Cooper's directorial debut and sees him star as composer and conductor Leonard Bernstein.

The movie follows Bernstein's rise to fame as well as his relationship with his wife Felicia Montealegre (Carey Mulligan).
