Paramount+ has a busy month ahead in December, with new box sets ready to dig into and blockbuster films being released as well.

The streaming platform is giving subscribers some great alternatives for Christmas, bringing dark dramas, thrilling mysteries and the newest movies to watch during the festive season.

As well as new releases, Paramount+ will continue to release new episodes of Frasier, Fellow Travelers, The Curse and Lawman: Bass Reeves.

The Doll Factory | 1 December

Fans of Gothic fiction will get their fix with The Doll Factory, a thrilling dark drama about a woman, Iris (Esme Creed-Miles), seeking her independence by achieving her dream of becoming a celebrated painter in a world that is determined to tear her down at every turn.

As well as contending with the pressure of Victorian society, Iris' quest to escape her circumstances sees her come to the attention of two men, Louis (George Webster) and Silas (Éanna Hardwicke), who prove more dangerous than they first appear.

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts | 8 December

The Transformers franchise is still going strong, and the latest film is Rise of the Beasts which is coming to Paramount+ following its theatrical run earlier this year.

In the film, the Autobots are faced with a new faction of Transformers known as the Maximals, who join them as allies in a new battle to save the Earth.

Sheridan Smith stars in a new five-part drama that is coming to Paramount+ on Boxing Day, right in time for a festive binge.

The series sees sisters Lori (Smith) and Erin (Celine Buckens) going on the trip of a lifetime to Fiji, only for Lori to go missing after an argument. Months later, Erin makes it her mission to find her sibling, and she will uncover a dark mystery in order to do so.
