A Peterborough theatre is seeking young, budding actors for its festive panto, Cinderella.

The Cresset and Stuart Morrison's Second Star Productions are excited to announce open auditions for their annual pantomime, Cinderella.

Auditions will be held on September 8, under the guidance of Monique Benoiton-Smith, the show's choreographer.

Young performers of all genders, with a passion for dance and an ability to follow choreography and direction, are encouraged to attend.

The production company and theatre are on the lookout for talent to join an all-star professional cast in this year's show, which runs from December 14 to 31.

Available roles include those in the song and dance ensemble, as well as understudy roles for intermediate and senior auditionees.

Those successful are set to gain valuable experience, make new friends and have fun, being part of a professional production.

Auditions will take place at the Cresset, and online registration in advance is crucial.

Hopefuls should arrive up to half an hour early for auditions, and those under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or chaperone.

Participants are advised to wear comfortable clothing and suitable footwear.

All performers will be expected to rehearse on Sundays from late October until the production's opening night.

Exact rehearsal dates and times will be communicated to successful applicants.

Performers are also required to have a relevant licence from their local authority to enable absence from school for school performances, which will be organised by the production company.

Potential stars must be able to commit to the full run and rehearsal period.

Ensemble members’ roles are unpaid, and individuals should anticipate providing their own leotard, shoes and tights, with specific requirements notified at the start of rehearsals.
