Italy's Mount Etna Volcano Erupts Against Night Sky

Italy’s Mount Etna volcano erupted on the evening of Sunday, November 12, lighting up the Sicilian sky.

Italy’s National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology said the “height of the eruptive column is estimated to be about 4,500 m (14,700 feet) above sea level”.

Footage posted to Instagram by Francesco Agati shows lava erupting.
