Terrifying moment surfer aged 10 is photobombed by a SHARK on Australian wave

This is the moment that a 10-year-old surfer had his moment of glory stolen by a SHARK – which photobombed him as he rode a wave off an Australian beach.

Dad Chris Hasson says he was taking photos of son Eden riding a wave off Samurai Beach at Port Stephens, 10 miles north of Sydney, on Tuesday when an unusual and indistinct shape suddenly caught his eye.

Chris looked at the snap and soon realised that he had photographed the face of a testing shark, which was swimming just below the surface with his son – with the pair appearing to be on a collision course.

But while the unusual snap seems like the beginning of a Steven Spielberg classic, the reality was a lot less scary.

Chris says that shark experts have revealed that the beast was a juvenile great white about 8ft long – with the claim backed by James Cook University shark researcher Andrew Chin.

Thankfully, Eden wasn’t injured – but it’s an amazing photo of man and nature seemingly alongside each other.
