Airport Worker Dances on Tarmac as Plane Readies for Takeoff

An anxious flyer getting ready to depart from Southwest Florida International Airport on August 15 says he was put at ease by the moves of an aircraft marshal who was dancing “like nobody is watching” on the tarmac.

Passenger Aaron Conrad told Storyful he was experiencing some anxiety about the flight and was searching for something to distract himself at that moment.

“I looked out the window and saw this employee dancing and enjoying life,” Conrad said. “Even in the rain drops. It was just what I needed. I got so caught up in watching him that I relaxed and calmed down. I wish I could thank him in person.”

Conrad tweeted this video he captured of the dancing airport employee, writing: “In a world that you can be anything you want, be like this guy. @SouthwestAir you should find him and give him a raise. Dance like nobody is watching and love your job. Life is short. Enjoy it!”

Southwest Airlines responded to the tweet, thanking Conrad for sharing the putting a smile on their faces. “Life is short and not going to lie, we were nodding our heads to the rhythm of his SWA moves. Meet us in a DM with your confirmation #, so we can pass along the kudos!” an airline official told him. Credit: Aaron Conrad via Storyful
