Aston Villa pair Douglas Luiz and Alisha Lehmann could strike historic double transfer

Aston Villa couple Douglas Luiz and Alisha Lehmann could reportedly be involved in an historic double transfer to Juventus.

Villa are one of the Premier League clubs looking to sell players to comply with the Profit and Sustainability Rules and Luiz could be the first player to make an exit. He is said to have agreed personal terms with Juventus on a four-year deal worth £4 million a season.

Villa will receive up to £17m as well as players Samuel Iling-Junior and Weston McKennie in the deal, it is claimed. However, the Italian giants could try to strike a double deal with Juventus News 24 reporting that the Bianconeri are also open to signing his partner Lehmann.

The report states that the idea of including the Villa Women star in the deal was one of the requests made by Luiz himself, and was originally mooted as a potential scenario. But it is now becoming 'more and more of a reality.'

A popular figure in the women's game, Lehmann boasts 16m Instagram followers, which is the most of any female player. Under contract at Villa until 2026, she is believed to be one of the highest earners in the Women's squad.

It is said that Juve are reviewing their next move, but there are 'concerns' over what salary Lehmann would demand. If a move was to materialise, she could take up one of the club's ten foreign player spots.

Luiz has previously revealed that the couple live a very 'normal' life outside of football. "We do everything normal, we go to dinner when we want," he said.

"I am more a home person anyway but of course, I do want to do some social things with her. Here in England everything is calm. If I go to the shop in Brazil it's crazy, almost impossible. We have a good life here."
