A former bouncy castle salesman from London has been placed on America’s global terrorism list, following claims that he has replaced ‘Jihadi John’ as an Isis executioner.

Siddhartha Dhar, who calls himself Abu Rumaysah, left his home in Walthamstow, East London, to travel to Syria, despite being on bail for terror offences at the time.

The State Department said that the terrorist poses ‘a significant risk of committing, acts of terrorism that threaten the security of US nationals or the national security, foreign policy, or economy of the United States.’

A spokesman confirmed: ‘He is considered to have replaced ISIS executioner Mohammed Emwazi, also known as ‘Jihadi John’.

‘Dhar is believed to be the masked leader who appeared in a January 2016 ISIS video of the execution of several prisoners ISIS accused of spying for the UK.’

Dhar was first arrested for his involvement with Al-Muhajiroun in September 2014, but he left the UK with his family only hours after he was released on bail.

He later taunted police by marking his arrival in Syria with a photograph that showed him holding his newborn son and an AK-47 rifle.

Emwazi was confirmed dead in January 2016 by Isis’s propaganda magazine. It is believed he was killed by a US-backed drone strike in the previous November.

He had appeared in execution videos released by Isis, including those of UK aid worker David Haines and taxi driver Alan Henning.

He first rose to prominence in 2014 appearing in footage that showed the murder of US journalist James Foley.
