Brooklyn Beckham told to 'get a job at McDonalds' as he's brutally mocked for new cooking tutorial

Brooklyn Beckham has faced a fresh wave of online mockery following his latest cooking demonstration, despite the budding chef's previous stance of wishing "the haters well".

The eldest child of David and Victoria Beckham took to Instagram on Monday to share his method for crafting a bunless burger and chips, complete with Chosen Foods produce and a generous helping of his favoured avocado oil.

Dressed in a casual white tank top, adorned with a gold chain, multiple rings, and sporting an Inter Miami cap in a nod to his father's football club, Brooklyn was all smiles as he prepared a 'Flying Dutchman' using Chosen Foods products.

He began by chopping potatoes and "two similar sized" onions, then proceeded to fry the chips in "100% avocado oil" and press the meat on a grill.

After that, he added a splash of avocado oil over the onions before assembling his Flying Dutchman creation, the Mirror reports.

While there were some positive remarks from fans under Brooklyn's Instagram post, praising him as an "incredible chef", the majority of responses indulged in the kind of "hater" commentary that has become a familiar backdrop to his cooking ventures.

The 25-year-old has faced a barrage of criticism after the latest episode of his online cookery series Cooking With Brooklyn and has been savagely mocked by social media users for his attempt to make a classic burger.

One scathing comment read: "It's burger and chips you melt ....this guy needs a hobby," while another simply stated: "You just made burger and chips [laughing face emoji]."

A third unimpressed follower wrote: "Untalented child of beautiful parents," with another adding: "What has life come to... I'm watching Brooklyn Beckham try to cook a burger."

Others couldn't resist drawing comparisons between Brooklyn's cooking and the fast-food giant McDonalds, with one quipping: "He could get a job at McDonalds," and another adding: "He couldn't hold down a job at mc D."

However, Brooklyn also received words of support from his loyal fanbase, with one fan telling the trolls: "This not funny at all leave him alone."

Earlier this year, Brooklyn revealed that wife of two years, Nicola Peltz, can't "cook to save her life" as he launched his own pop-up UberEats restaurant and spoke of his newfound love for cooking.

He began documenting his culinary journey on social media during the 2020 lockdowns.

Despite the backlash and online mockery, Brooklyn remains dedicated to his cooking passion, sharing simple recipes such as a sausage sandwich and pasta with store-bought sauce.

He previously expressed his culinary passion to The Times in January, saying, "Unfortunately, I've never done, like, a cooking class, but I'm obsessed with watching MasterClass [online classes with experts in their field].

"I've always loved that. I've been lucky enough to do videos and hang out with all these different types of chefs, learning different things, like [the renowned US baker] Nancy Silverton, who is one of my favourite chefs. She's a really cool person."

After tying the knot with billionaire heiress Nicola Peltz in April 2022, Brooklyn revealed his initial kitchen adventure: "Probably Super Noodles - you can't go wrong with Super Noodles," he confidently claimed when quizzed about his earliest culinary experiment.

Now four years removed from his debut cooking tutorial on social media, Brooklyn appears to have developed a genuine interest in the culinary world, despite having explored various career paths previously.

He once aspired to emulate his father's success on the football pitch and joined Arsenal's youth team as a teenager, only to be let go in 2015 without being offered a scholarship at the academy.

Brooklyn Beckham opened up about his foray into the world of photography, where he once enjoyed a stint working with the iconic fashion photographer Rankin.

However, it was reported that his skills didn't quite impress the crew. His time at Parsons School of Design also came to an early end when he chose to drop out.

Brooklyn told Variety in 2022: "I really enjoyed [photography] for a couple of years. I love taking pictures of my wife.

"I still have all my film cameras, but now it's just more of a fun thing to do. They were kind of all hobbies.

"I was still trying to find that one thing I would literally die for, and I found that with cooking."

Despite facing criticism for his passion, Brooklyn remains positive as he said: "I always wish them well, the haters.

"I'm just doing what I love doing, staying healthy, being happy, and that's what it is. I hope they like my next video."
