Yahoo News Buying Beverly Hills cast members spotted on other reality shows
If there's one thing we love more than reality TV, it's a reality TV crossover, and Netflix's newest show Buying Beverly Hills is full of surprising TV connections.
The eight-part series dropped last week and follows the professional and personal lives of the realtors working at The Agency, a real estate agency based in Beverly Hills. The Agency is run by Mauricio Umansky, the husband of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member Kyle Richards. Mauricio and his daughters Farrah and Alexia, who also work at The Agency, feature heavily in the series.
Fans have obviously recognised Mauricio, Farrah and Alexia from their appearances from RHOBH, however they've also spotted two other cast members who have surprising reality TV connections.
Real estate agent and mum of three, Allie Lutz, is seen throughout the series and many fans were wondering where they'd seen her before.
It turns out Allie actually appeared in an episode of MTV's The Hills in 2010.
TikTok user @stephyrae_rustyg spotted Allie's cameo in the show and shared it in a TikTok captioned: "Watching Buying Beverly Hills on Netflix when I see a familiar face...Allie Lutz was on The Hills circa season six episode seven."
Allie appears briefly in the season six episode of The Hills as a friend of McKaela Line. She can be seen in the background of a scene at a bar. Allie was in a relationship with The Hills cast member Doug Reinhardt at the time, but the pair broke up in 2013.
Viewers of Buying Beverly Hills were beyond excited when they realised the connection, with one person commenting on @stephyrae_rustyg's TikTok: "Omggg that name was killing me I couldn’t place it."
And another said: "God I knew she looked so familiar!!"
But Allie Lutz isn't the only Buying Beverly Hills cast member with a reality show past, in fact Sonika Vaid has also appeared on a show.
As mentioned in Buying Beverly Hills, Sonika is really passionate about music and in 2016 she appeared on American Idol.
Sonika massively impressed judges Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick Jr with her rendition of Carrie Underwood's "Look at Me".
Sonika made it all the way to the finals and was eliminated after reaching the top five. During her time on the show she sang "Since U Been Gone", "Bring Me To Life" and "Skyfall", amongst many others.
Since American Idol Sonika has gone onto release her own music.
