A new batch of famous faces are being pushed to the physical and emotional limits as Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins finally is back on our screens.

Not one for the faint of heart, this rough-and-ready reality TV show puts contestants to the test as they’re invited to endure a range of real-life combat training exercises overseen by hardened members of the UK’s Special Forces.

Known for its gruelling and punishing tasks, previous series have seen many fall short of completing the full regime. However, it's also seen a number of big winners, including singers Wes Nelson and Alexandra Burke and Welsh sports star Aled Davies.

Taking part in Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins is not something to be entered into lightly.

Throughout each series celebrities are forced to endure a set of exhausting tasks set by former members of the UK’s Special Forces that are designed to test them physically, emotionally and mentally.

The show’s core structure is inspired by the training regiment that actual SAS (Special Air Services, a branch of the UK's special forces) recruits are put through in the real world, one that is known to be infamously hard to complete and has even resulted in a few fatalities over the years.

Of course, this televised version of the regime has been tweaked to avoid any dangerous elements — but contestants are still put through immensely difficult challenges with no guarantee that they will make it through the show in one piece.

With no eliminations, the aim of the game is purely to survive the onslaught of tasks, with every celebrity who makes it to the end of the final episode crowned as a champion of that series.

This year, Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins takes the action to the humid jungles of Vietnam where a new group of familiar faces are being put through their paces by a trio of ex-special forces personnel including Chris Oliver, Rudy Reyes, Billy Billingham MBE and Jason Fox.

Starring opposite this hardened trio of experts will be this year’s celebrities — a group that spans pop stars, athletes, controversial politicians and more.
