Cheryl DID watch Girls Aloud bandmate Sarah Harding in Celebrity Big Brother and found it 'heartbreaking'

Sarah Harding had a number of meltdowns in the Celebrity Big Brother house last month before going on to shock everyone by winning the show.

And there’s no doubt that her Girls Aloud band mates were left feeling on tenterhooks at what the troubled star might say about them, after they heard she had accepted a place in the infamous abode.

It’s now emerged that her biggest rival in the band, Cheryl Tweedy, did watch episodes of Sarah in CBB and found the scenes “heartbreaking”.

Sarah’s housemate Paul Danan revealed Cheryl’s thoughts after he chatted to her partner Liam Payne, who admitted the brunette beauty found the reality show “hard to watch” with Sarah inside.

The ex-Hollyoaks star told The Sun: “Cheryl watched a little bit. She didn’t watch loads. She didn’t watch it all. I did ask and she watched a little bit. But I suppose she didn’t want to see Sarah in the way Sarah was, because it was heart breaking.

“To see someone very vulnerable and not in the best of shape and Big Brother can do that to someone – make them even worse. But should she have done the show? Yeah, she won it.”

It wasn’t only Cheryl who was apprehensive about Sarah’s entry.

Nadine Coyle also warned her not to compete on Celebrity Big Brother.

The 32-year-old singer has admitted she was “petrified” when her Girls Aloud band member told her she had signed up for the reality show, and tried to sway the blonde beauty – who was crowned champion of this year’s series – off the idea by tempting her with a trip to Spain instead.

Speaking to The Sun’s ‘Bizarre Life’ podcast, the Irish beauty said: “I was petrified. She called to tell me she was doing it and my immediate thing was, ‘Don’t. Absolutely not. Why? Stop this immediately. Retract, retract. Don’t do it. Just don’t do it. We’ll go on a holiday. I’m going to Spain, come’.”

But the ‘Sound of the Underground’ hitmaker – who has three-year-old daughter Anaiya – has revealed the 35-year-old was adamant she was going to go through with it and live in the infamous Elstree abode.

She explained: “But she wanted to do it. And Sarah’s, you know, if she’s got it in her mind she’s going to do something, she’s going to go and do it.”

Although Nadine didn’t want Sarah to take part on the programme she was supported her decision, unlike their fellow band mate Cheryl Tweedy who is believed to have unfollowed Sarah on social media prior to appearing on the programme.

But the ‘Fight For This Love’ singer’s action didn’t surprise Nadine or Sarah.

Nadine said: “I’m not surprised, no. If you don’t like somebody, just be genuine about it. You don’t have to be anything else. I don’t think Sarah’s surprised either, it’s to be expected.”
