On Coronation Street next week Rick’s funeral descends into mayhem when Gary sees red. Plus battle lines are drawn between Imran and Abi over baby Alfie, as both sides reveal they have their own agenda over the future of their son.

Imran fights for Alfie
Imran fears that Abi is on the road to disaster, having been found in possession of a bottle of morphine. So he shares his worries with Toyah and tells her he intends to fight for custody of Alfie and would love her to help him raise his son.

Abi, meanwhile, is asking Kevin for her job back so she can afford to buy some things for her baby. But, on Friday, she discovers all about Imran’s plans and is left reeling.
Abi’s next move is to meet with her solicitor Elliot and tell him she wants to apply for full custody of Alfie. But Imran vows to battle her all the way – and is set to resort to some dirty tricks…
Punch-up at Rick’s funeral
Maria doesn’t want to attend the funeral of loan shark Rick, as she fears it will tarnish her reputation. But Gary eventually convinces her to go – something that she may ultimately regret.
Friday’s drama sees Gary, Maria and Kelly all arrive for the service. But as they gather at the graveside, a man approaches and spits on Rick’s coffin, telling Kelly that he hopes he rots in hell.
Seeing red, Gary snaps and gives the guy a punch. But what no one notices is the photographer lurking in the bushes…
Amy discovers Summer’s secret
Summer has been burning the midnight oil, so Amy suggests she have a break and accompany her for a quick coffee.
At the café, Roy serves the pair some bacon sandwiches and Summer pretends to be grateful. But, back at the flat, Amy is then left shocked when she overhears Summer retching in the bathroom.
Summer denies making herself sick, but Amy doesn’t believe her and states that she’s telling Billy. But a clearly overwhelmed Summer begs her not to and promises that it won’t happen again.
Who makes a pass at Daniel?
Daniel gets more than he bargained for when he attends a meeting about a school trip, only to find himself being confided in by an upset Mrs Cranshaw, who reveals that her husband has left her.
Later on, Mrs C turns up at Daniel’s flat, brandishing a bottle of wine and insisting that he call her Orla. So how will Daniel deal with his boss making a pass at him?
Daisy, meanwhile, is getting concerned not about Mrs Cranshaw but rather Daniel’s bond with Nicky and decides to join her for a drink so she can quiz her about any feelings she may have for him.
Faye and Craig’s baby dilemma
Over at the factory, Faye is showing Craig a fertility app that she’s downloaded to her phone. But he’s soon seen confiding his concerns in Beth, telling her that he feels it’s too soon to start a family. But how does he tell Faye?
In the end, it’s blabbermouth Beth who finds herself unable to hold her tongue. But how will Faye react when Beth reveals all about Craig’s reluctance?
