DJ Jonas Blue to headline opening day at Youth Beatz in Dumfries

The multi-platinum award winning DJ Jonas Blue will top the bill at 8.30pm tomorrow night as Youth Beatz returns to Park Farm showfield in Dumfries.

And on Sunday, the headliners are DJ and producer Sigala at 9pm, who has produced eight UK top ten hits, including the number one single, Easy Love, following a performance by Cascada, who have a string of dancefloor anthems and more than 30 million album sales worldwide.

Tickets have sold out and it is expected that 20,000 people will attend each day for headlining acts on the main stage and two others, plus The Toon, a wide range of fun activities and musical performances from local and emerging young talent from across the region.

The main stage tomorrow will see: 1pm, Ultimate Dance Effect; 1.30pm Robin Ashcroft; 2.30pm Joe Goodall; 3.30pm Strange Dimensions; 4.30pm Slix. DJ warm-up at 5pm, followed by Talia Mar at 6.25pm; Alice Deejay from 7.30pm; and ending with Jonas Blue.

On Sunday, the line up is: 1pm, Envy; 1.30pm Alan Purvis; 2.30pm Luna J; 3.30pm Brontes; 4.30pm Ben Walker; the DJ warm-up at 5pm, before Saint Phnx at 6.45pm, then Cascade at 7.50pm; and Sigala.

This year’s Second Stage, in partnership with local organisation Dumfries Music Collective, will feature an amazing line up of young musicians from across Dumfries and Galloway and the central belt, providing all types of music and including solo artists, bands and DJs.

The Dance Stage will showcase dance groups, cheerleading squads, solo performers and much more from Stranraer, Newton Stewart, Lockerbie and Dumfries. In the evening, the stage will host young DJs from Dumfries and Galloway.

Among the many extras at Youth Beatz will be bicycle stunt team 3Sixty in the arena, performing four 25 minute displays per day and will be delivering interactive cycle coaching services to festival goers.
