Donald Trump is known to be a big fan of fast food – and it turns out his favourite McDonald’s order is nothing short of gargantuan.

The President has been rumoured to be a Big Mac fan, but a new book has lifted the lid on how one burger simply isn’t enough.

According to former Trump campaign aides Corey Lewandowski and David Bossie, Trump’s standard McDonald’s order on his private jet was “two Big Macs, two Fillet-O-Fish, and a chocolate malted.”

That is more than enough to feed two people but it was just the ticket for the President-to-be while he flew around the United States on Trump Force One during the election campaign.

According to the McDonald’s nutritional calculator, that meal equals 2,054 calories – 103% of the typical recommended average for a woman.

It also works out at an astonishing 29.6g of saturated fat – 148% the recommended daily intake.

And his love of fast food apparently didn’t end there either.

The authors added: “On Trump Force One there were four major food groups: McDonald’s, Kentucky Fried Chicken, pizza and Diet Coke.”

They went on to sat that the timing of Trump’s meals “was as important as any other aspect of his march to the presidency”, with meals delivered to the plane as soon as he finished a big speech.

The President’s fast food penchant created an issue when he first moved into the White House, after his private chef’s attempts to recreate his favourites fell short of his lofty standards.

It emerged earlier this year that Mr Trump sent a private aide to fetch him a takeaway order of McDonald’s when he wasn’t satisfied with the quarter pounder that had been cooked up in the White House kitchen.
